Thanks for all your help. I'm going through the instructions on the
sourceforge website. When i try to modprobe I get this error:
[root@localhost Desktop]# modprobe ppp-compress-18 && echo success
FATAL: Error inserting ppp_mppe
(/lib/modules/2.6.14-1.1637_FC4/kernel/drivers/net/ppp_mppe.ko):
Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

Googling for the error didn't afford me any solutions. Nor did
rebooting the machine (the sorceforge instructions suggested this).
What is one to do in this situation?

Thanks.
