Would you be so kind and read emails before responding to it?

Where do you read the point that he wants to mirror a hardisk.
He is talking about Clustering a Java Applikation Server named Jboss.
It sits on top of an Tomcat Applikation Server and does fance j2ee
stuff.

This really has nothing to do with whatever you suggest.

Ok:

Now for the Solution:

http://www.jboss.org/developers/projects/jboss/clustering
http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2002/07/10/jboss.html

There is no clustering support for an Jboss Server.
You also have the posibility to share the load between this two servers.

If you only want a cold standby system. HP or Compaq have Machines who
support this. And if you are really trying to build a J2EE Applikation
Cluster you might should hire someone who knows what he is doing :-)

No offend. But this could get very tricky.
