ext_attr will automatically be set if/when you set SELinux attributes
(you may need to relabel that filesystem).

needs_recovery will only be seen when the fs is mounted or if it is not
cleanly unmounted (i.e. power off the system without shutdown).  It
means that the journal needs to be replayed and/or the fs needs fsck.
