To make your conexant modem work, you have to look at www.linuxant.com for a commercial driver. There are no open source driver for those winmodems.

Maybe you should buy a PC Card modem, usually they are very well supported in linux.

is what ive done correct? is this conexant driver in linux?
earlier i was getting error 2,now i get error 7,

what can i do.
