Agreed. Get the GUI version. It installs painlessly and gives you a nice tray icon to establish the connection when you need it. The connection log opens in a pseudo-console window temporarily and then goes away once the connection is established. There's probably a way to hide that for users who are afraid of text. (Far too many, IMHO. Such people should also be kept away from sharp objects.)
