Come to think, I had the same problem, yesterday. It got to the ntp time check 
and stalled. My ISP was down momentarily. My machine hung for many minutes. A 
little while later, I tried booting again and ntp succeeded and the machine 
booted. I'm on 2.6.13-1.1532_FC4
