vmplayer and artsdsp

Hello all

I got my soundcard running, I tried some settings with alsamixer and now I'm
listening music again with my new kernel :-)

Now I installed vmplayer and when trying to run any virtual machine, I get
this warning:
"Failed to open sound device /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy
Virtual device sound will start disconnected"

I'm running kde+arts, when suspending arts the virtual machine works fine, but
I don't want it, so, I tried with: artsdsp vmplayer
Now I get this error:
ERROR: ld.so: object 'libartsdsp_st.so.0' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded:
ignored.
ERROR: ld.so: object 'libdl.so.2' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded:
ignored.

any ideas to fix this?

TIA
David
