Erm, no. Lvreduce will resize your logical volume - if you shrink the LV
without shrinking the filesystem it contains, your data is toast.
ok, what do you mean by, resizing your filesystem.? Could you elaborate on this some more, thanx.? The LV as is, is 75GB but the data is only about 5GB.

resize2fs is the tool for resizing ext2/3 filesystems. ext2online is
also available for growing ext2/3 without unmounting.
I have to unmount the volume for this, yes..?
