There is an issue with some Intel chipset which show a similar
behaviour. Maybe the known fix work for your specific hardware too: when
being presented the install boot prompt enter garbage (you can take that
literal); this will result in a complaint that the command given wasn't
understood. Continue by just pressing enter.

Btw. the amount of RAM you have is a bit low. Please compare with the
requirements listed in

http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/release-notes/fc4/errata/#id2800834
