You may want to install webmin first before editing the flat files
by hand.

I am pretty sure webmin is in a yum/apt repository, but should 
also have a suitable rpm at www.webmin.com.

This should be a current link :

bin/redirect.cgi/install/http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webadmin/webmin-1.220-1.noarch.rpm

Once installed you can manage your machine including samba using 
a web browser.
