Fedora core 4 on AMD Mobile Sempron

Hello,

I tried to install Fedora Core 4 32bit on ASUS (A6706UUH)notebook which
has AMD Mobile Sempron Processor.

AMD Sempron 3000+

As installation starts, the system hangs after the line kernal thread helper.

It dont enter to GUI for further installation.

Why this is so?

I am using following disk:
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/4/i386/iso/FC4-i386-disc1.iso

Is the AMD Sempron supported by Fedora Core 4?
