Yes, use the fast user switch feature of KDE. You'll find it at the K
Menu and at the unlock desktop dialog. The default shortcut to it is
CTRL+ALT+INS. You need to activate it first adding the following lines
to the [General] section of /etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc:
StaticServers=:0
ReserveServers=:1,:2,:3
ServerVTs=-7
ConsoleTTYs=tty1,tty2,tty3,tty4,tty5,tty6

For this to work, you must use the kdm logon manager, instead of gdm.
