this problem please test the current glibc and comment in bug 161181?
The sooner we get some positive feedback the earlier we can backport the
patch.
I temporarily updated an FC3 caching DNS box with glibc 2.3.90-10 and
ping now works. Reverting the box to glibc 2.3.5 breaks ping again.
In both cases, bind indicated truncation in effect. Looks good.
