I haven't really felt like pulling out the scope to test whether my sound card distorts at maximum volume (it's just one with line level outputs, not speaker power amplifier outputs), or if I'm overdriving the input stage of my speaker system (turning the speaker's own volume down doesn't help, but then there could be a stage or two before the volume control). -- Don't send private replies to my address, the mailbox is ignored.
