Step 1: rpm -i <kernelrpmpackage>

Step 2: Reboot.  Select the new kernel from the GRUB menu.

That's the only documentation you need.


Be certain you use "rpm -i" and not "rpm -U", so its a new installation of the
kernel, otherwise he will upgrade your current kernel and you can not go back
to the old situation in case of any problems...
