Change root sender adress

The account normally sends mail from root@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thecronjob sends from root too. This doesn't work because I don't havehostname.domainname.com. It's a common problem that I have with moresystems. What should I do? Can I change the sender address??
