chmod 444 /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libvgahw.a
chown root:root /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libvgahw.a
reboot

When the computer reboots, you might need to run "system-config-display --reconfig" in order to get settings back to how they should be set.
