You really got it working with that ? I had the dev packages installed and I still get a nice kernel panic
with the unknown symbol when trying to insert the ata_piix.ko module
strange :)

After updating I get a kernel panic with 2.6.12-1.1372smp kernel booting

umount /sys failed:16
mount: error 6 mounting ext3
mount: error 2 mounting none
switchroot: mount failed: 22
umount /initrd/dev failed: 2

No problem with standard 2.6.12-1.1372
Any idea??
