I have to rebuild a fileserver I built up 2 years ago:

Intel server board, Qlogic 24xx hba, Xyratex Storage Fibre Chan2with 4 LUNs.

I would like to use Fedora Core 4.
What is the current best practice for a fast, large filesystem?
