Re: HP Printer.

Hi,
I have an HP printer as well (a LaserJet 1320) and setting it up with
FC4 was pretty simple. It should suffice to run printconf (in Gnome:
Desktop -> System Settings -> Printing) and add your printer there.
printconf is also called "system-config-printer", btw.

I could be that webmin messed up the configuration. Webmin isn't part of
Core or Extras, right?

Here's my suggestion: Undo all printer-related configuration you've done
so far, run printconf and setup your printer there (again). Then try to
print a test page from printconf. If that doesn't work, read the
documentation, google a bit and if you still can't get it to work, email
the list again. Be sure to include some more detail such as the model of
the printer.

Cups does most of the work behind the scenes, but you shouldn't have to
worry about it.

One last word of warning: Don't edit the cups config files by hand! FC's
tools will just overwrite your changes whenever they feel like it. I had
some fun with that before I discovered system-config-printer...

HTH,
Levin
