Ok, shut that off, but the only change in the /var/log/Xorg.0.log is 
that last line is now missing, and X still doesn't run.  The line 
before it is the mouse setup line, and there are no [EE] lines in the 
log, plus it claims to be using the default 800x600 sizing way back 
up in the middle of it.

Other than that, no change.  No X.
