Treo 650 sync with FC4 fails

Hi all,

Im not sure if this is the proper group to post this concern in, but Im hoping
someone can help me solve this.

I've been trying (and failing miserably) at getting my Treo 650 to 'talk' to
my FC4 box. I've tried several solutions along the lines of creating a
10-palm or 10-visor file in the /etc/udev directory. I've tried
linking /dev/pilot to /dev/ttyUSB1 or /dev/ttyUSB0. They dont seem to work.

I used to be able to sync the Treo 650 perfectly (well, not really, but enough
to sync the important stuff and backup) with my FC3 box. Now, though, I
noticed that there is a LONG wait from the time I push the hotsync button on
the usb cable of the Treo to the time it actually shows up in the /dev
directory. Normally, once I hit the hotsync button, I could click the
kpilot/jpilot hotsync button and not worry about it failing.

Any ideas? please? (im not sure what logs, i should include... so i just
included the /var/log/message log and the 10-palm.rules file.

Thanks in advance,
Sarah
