Hi, I do indeed refer to /var/log/boot.log Prior to upgrading to FC4 from FC3 all my startup and shutdown messages appeared so it was easy to see where problems had occured. Now nothing appear sat all.
Well, I'm still running FC3, but I have the following lines in /etc/syslog.conf:
# Save boot messages also to boot.log local7.* /var/log/boot.log
and I have text in /var/log/boot.log ....Did something get changed when you upgraded? (do you have an /etc/syslog.conf.rpmsave file?)
