is giving space problem? I am giving him entire hard-disk

Start from a DOS disk (or Win98 CD in DOS mode).
run
fdisk /mbr
This will do something and exit (no fdisk menu will come up!).

reboot and you're fine - then from your description, looks like you have
to re-install something (FC4 or Windows) as you seem to have no OS at
all.

Best regards,
Chris

I was not given any option and the system went down. When I started my machine, it started all the services but was not able to start GNOME panel. Taking this as an opportunity to install Windows, I install windows by formatting entire disk. Installation went well but when I booted, my system it displayed me "GRUB". nothing happens after that.
