Unless you have a really fast internet connection (faster than 100 Mbps)
it won't matter if the router isn't 1000 Mbps.

It shouldn't be a problem as long as you remember to turn off the dhcp
server on the "router" and remember to plug the switch into the LAN side
of the "router".
