What happened to the Aiptek Tablet Driver?

I sometimes get out my Aiptek drawing tablet. It has a drawing pen and
and mouse. I has always worked in the past. In fact, it used to work
better with FC3 then with MS Windows XP. But I haven't had it connected
since January. I decided to get it out today, and draw a few things.

Problem. It doesn't work.
It does register in the "Hardware Browser" as:
Aiptek International Inc. APT-6000U
It is using the "aiptek" driver.
The directory is: /dev/input/mice

I also tried loading the drawing programs to see if that helped.
No good.

I put fresh batteries in the pen and mouse.
No help.

I've read in the past where FC3 doesn't get along well with multiple
mice, but it has never been a problem with this laptop and this drawing
tablet up until now.
