Check out the stuff others have mentioned.  Also take a look at
Thinstation and PXES:

Thinstation and PXES are micro Linux distros.  You use them to boot a
thin client using DHCP and TFTP, and then connect to various servers,
such as Citrix, Tarantella, X, No Machine NX and more.

LTSP works extremely well, but I'm starting to prefer the Thinstation
and PXES thin client method.
