folks!!
i have a strange error in my centos boxes. all the 4 pcs p2, p3 , p4 ,
amd 64 gives the same error with vsound. i read in digit u can capture
the streaming audio with some windows tool. so i searched and found
vsound is the ideal tool for same work in tux. i downloaded it and
installed it.
no matter what syntax i use the media stops to record after some time.
i tried these options
$ vsound -f station.wav realplay radiostn.pls
$ vsound -f station.wav -r 44100 realplay radiostn.pls
no matter what syntax i use the vsound just crashes... i mean it stops
recorning from that radio station. esound keeps on running, sox keeps
on runing. frankly speaking there is no error at all. then why is the
vsound not able to run the recording??
i asked the same qstn in centos forum and centos in freenode!! none of
them agreed!!
beside vsound is a banned utility by RIAA!! so there is no official
support for vsound. but its an excellent tool for grabbing the audio
from any streaming media... help!!
yes, tho the tool is illegal, but the media which u extract uysing it
is legal and u can distribute it. u dont break any copy right law.
cheers!!
