I notice that the module that supports the Broadcom 5700 chip is tg3.ko, rather than bcm/bcm5700.ko, which is what you get when you build from the standard kernel sources (i.e., not rpm source).
Anyone know the reason for this?
tg3.c: Broadcom Tigon3 ethernet driver.
I dont know from where you have bcm5700 included in vanilla kernels (without any patch), but I dont have.
The standard broadcom driver is tg3.
