FC3 installer/kernel crash

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hello,

I'm trying to install Fedora Core 3 on a relatively new machine about
1 month old, but the installer is crashing early on. I get the install
type selection page, but whatever installer I choose, it crashes early
on in the boot process. Here's my machine spec:

Motherboard: MSI 915P (Onboard LAN, Audio)
HD1: 120GB Western Digital SATA
HD2: 80 GB Western Digital SATA
Memory: 2GB
Video: ATI X700Pro 256MB PCI-Express
DVD-ROM: LG 16x
CD RW: LG 52x32x52

I tried Suse 8.1 Personal, and I get roughly the same error, so it's
NOT distro specific. I'm just prefer FC3, and I'd like to run that
one.

The screendump I get when the system crashes follows.

Thanks in advance,

Nat
