SBLive Digital Out Audio doesn't work.

For some reason I get an error when I try to run emu-config or emu-dspr saying that I have incompatible drivers.
I can't compile emu10k1-9.4. So is there something I can setup there or should I forget emu10k and emu-tools
and only deal with the alsa stuff.

Does emu-tools and also work together? I'm very confused on this.

/sbin/lspci produces this..

00:0a.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1 (rev 07)
00:0a.1 Input device controller: Creative Labs SB Live! MIDI/Game Port (rev 07)

What files do I need to set up or config? Modprobe doesn't work but /sbin/lsmod
produces this:
