You might try moving the laptop slowly in different directions and listen if the screw moves. Another thought is to poke around with a magnetized screwdriver and perhaps the screw will atract to the magnet.

IBM Travelstar drive. Is there a better way to straighten hard drive pins?
Tweezers work well for this delicate procedure. I also use them for bent uP leads.
