Thank you, Felipe.  I believe I already made the directory, but I'll re-boot and double check on that and the "/".  I'll do a man on mkdir, but does the -p matter?

You're missing the slash in front of "dev/hda2".

Also, make sure "/mnt/hda2" already exists:

mkdir -p /mnt/hda2
