Hello out there,

I wanted to download aMule but there are no RPM's for Fedora Core 3
(anyway - do you know good P2P tools?). Would the Suse 9.2 or FC2 ones
work on my FC3?

No.

What are the differences between RPM's for different
distros?

Different Linux distributions use different versions, and in some cases names, of shared libraries. An application built against a particular shared library will not work with a different version of the library, in most cases.

Wouldn't it be easier to download a kind of EXE file for all
distros?

Unpaid developers of free software do not have the time to provide pre-built packages for every one of hundreds of Linux distributions in existence.
