I had a similar problem with my office PC.  It uses an i810 video card
(I'm not sure).

I fixed it updating to the latest kernel and latest xorg with yum.  Try
this and report back any other issue.

However there is a problem switching to different virtual terminals with
Ctrl + Alt + Fn.  Every time I switch X crashes.  This problem has
always been present in that specific hardware.  I used to have Mandrake
9 in there and it had the very same problem.  FC3 doesn't fix that.
