AFAIR djb's license allows distributing binary packages only if the
result of installing them exactly resembles what the user gets when
installing from source. Unfortunately his packages have lived a long
time without maintenance so they have become pretty useless if used
without some patches floating on the net, but applying them prevents
binary packages.
