I've always thought autorun a bad idea, evil, a pest and a security hazard. 
Rather than make it work, I generally "rpm --erase" it.

Do you really want my CD that mails me your passwords, bank account details & 
codes, credit card ditto, installs this http://www.energymech.net/ and send a 
thousand emails extolling the virtues of sex.com while it's opening a window 
to tell you how wonderful it is?

I've no particular objection to running stuff off CD, but only when I 
deliberately choose to do so.


I don't know all the details of what that energymech does, but when I find it 
installed in funny places on a computer that is otherwise completely borked I 
figure it's not there for the legal owner's benefit.
