Hi

I just did a fresh install of FC3, updated, and the gnome-keybinding-properties program segfaults everytime (there's a bug report on this).

Until this gets fixed, can someone tell me how to make caps lock a control key through gconf - I've browsed through it, and figure it has to do with the desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb section. I tried adding "ctrl:nocaps" to the options key, to no avail.

Thanks,
Jonathan

ps. please cc. me on replies.

Take a look at /etc/X11/xorg.conf. There are comments about how to do
this and even a sample line to un-comment to cause it to happen. Of
course this affects all users of the system, so if it is a multiuser
system, you might want to do something else.

Unfortunately Gnome 2.8 overrides the settings in xorg.conf I believe, so alas this will have no effect.
