x86_64 install dies at gnome-volume-manager

I'm trying to install fc3 x86_64. I've tried from a dvd, hard install from the dvd iso and the cdrom iso's. I've checked the md5sums on the iso's. Each time the install dies with a fatal error installing gnome-volume manager.

How do I exclude the install of gnome-volume manager? No gnome at all?
