no it does not. it used to do it on fc2 but since i installed fc3 it doesn't do it. it does not remember the size before quiting.

Perhaps there should be some emphasis on QUIT MOZILLA AFTER *RESIZING*. This is not the same as closing a browser window(s) or a mail window(s) or quitting after maximizing a/some window(s). You must completely QUIT mozilla to cause the configuration to be saved.
If you'll manually resize your browser window (not maximize it!) and completely quit mozilla, your settings will be retained.
