It will be funny if this backfires at you. If he's smart enough to use telnet inside encrypted VPN channel, you won't see anything. And he'll have a good laugh on you ;-)


From your description it looks like you are not restricting outgoing connections on your firewall at all. Ouch. That is not good. He wouldn't be able to telnet back home in the first place, if you configured your firewall correctly.
