Can not connect bus-powered USB hubs?

Hi all,

I switched from RH8 to FC1 some time ago. After that my USB-camera, which is
connected to the PC with 2 single-port extension cables, didn't work anymore.
Versions FC2 and FC3-test3 (that I am running now) have the same problem.
Is there a solution to this problem?
Here's some output that may be of any help:

Nothing connected:

[root@amdrvk ~]# lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

After connecting the extension cables with and the camera:

[root@amdrvk ~]# lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 006: ID 0416:5518 Winbond Electronics Corp. 4-Port Hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

[root@amdrvk ~]# tail /var/log/messages
Nov 12 23:32:54 amdrvk kernel: usb 2-2: new full speed USB device using address 6
Nov 12 23:32:54 amdrvk kernel: hub 2-2:1.0: USB hub found
Nov 12 23:32:54 amdrvk kernel: hub 2-2:1.0: 4 ports detected
Nov 12 23:32:55 amdrvk kernel: usb 2-2.2: new full speed USB device using address 7
Nov 12 23:32:55 amdrvk kernel: usb 2-2.2: can't connect bus-powered hub to this port

I tried this on 2 PC's. Both have the same problem. And on both PC's the
camera was working fine with RED HAT 8 so I would say it's not a hardware issue!

Thanks,
Mark
