i have some trouble mounting the CD-rom drive with an audio cd in it.
# mount /media/cdrom/ /dev/hdc: Input/output error mount: /dev/hdc: can't read superblock
/etc/fstab contains:
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom auto pamconsole,ro,exec,noauto,managed 0 0
i tried mounting both as root and regular user. what's the problem and how may i fix it?
You don't need to mount an audio CD to play it.
You mount data CDs, which contain filesystems, not audio CDs.
