All the entries are still in /var/spool/mqueue saying:

   LAA01551       53 Wed Nov  3 11:16 root
                    (Deferred: No route to host)
                                      jonathan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

and the log entries say:

   Nov  3 15:13:41 fred sendmail[3702]: LAA01551:
      to=jonathan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, ctladdr=root (0/0), delay=03:57:27,
      xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, relay=relay-2.mail.demon.net.,
      stat=Deferred: No route to host

Given that this machine can't see the 'Net, where is it getting the name
of the relay machine from ?

Jonathan
