I had RH7.2 and tried upgrading but it broke the system.

Now I'd like to have the full Mozilla suite. My wife is not very
computer literate but knows how to use the Mozilla browser and
email. (Also, Evolution won't send emails, says "mailbox
unavailable" an if I try using authentication I believe it says
I'm using the wrong password.)

The Mozilla that comes with FC2 claims to be Mozilla 1.7, not
Firefox but there's no email nor newsreader. If I install
Thunderbird will it be integrated into Mozilla? If not, will it
look and work like Mozilla email? If I try to install Mozilla
1.7 will it say it's already installed?

You need to install the mozilla-mail RPM to get the mail and news client.

The latest version of the mozilla suite for FC2 is 1.7.3, available from http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/2/i386/ and other mirrors of that site, e.g. http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux/distr/fedora/updates/2/i386/
