I only have an issue only printing to a win32 print server via samba,
using FC2 to a jetdirect on an HP 4100 works flawlessly. Are you running
up2date packages? Anything of interest in your log files?

I don't run Kde, with Gnome I have no issues, blackbox and openbox work 
without any printer problems as well.
