As root: "lsmod | grep ipv6"

Checking /etc/sysconfig/network only checks for the variable where you
choose to enable it or not, but for some reason in FC1/FC2 even if you
disable it there it still gets loaded.

If it *is* loaded, you can put the line "install ipv6 /bin/true" into
/etc/modprobe.conf and then reboot. In this case, a full reboot is
necessary since you must reload the kernel into the system.
