Ok I'll have a new look into the gnome-pilot list.

Reinhard,

I had the same problem and found a workaround here:

1) make a backup of your evolution dir (mv evolution evolution.old)
2) open the evolution app. It will create a brand new evolution dir
struct.
3) shutdown evolution (evolution --force-shutdown)
3) mv the newly created (empty) Calendar and Contacts
(evolution/local/Calendar and evolution/local/Contacts) in the
evolution.old tree to replace your old stuff)
4) "rmdir evolution" and "mv evolution.old evolution"
5) Purge the pilot settings : gpilotd-control-applet --purge, delete
your pilot, and rmdir your pilot dir struct (typically MyPilot)
6) Recreate a new pilot and configure your conduits. Start with a "copy
from pilot) to initialize the evolution calendar and contacts...

This should work.
