Sounds like either your system won't boot from CD or CD 1 is corrupt or you've created the CDs on a Windows box from here. If it's the first one, create a boot floppy, if it's the second, re-download or burn (or ask nicely and someone will just copy it for you) and if it's door 3, dunno. Never had to do it that way.
