Grant: I tried it, but I get a 'no such file or directory' ... Any other ideas would be
appreciated.

You'll need to have the NVIDIA installer script inorder to uninstall
the driver.  Just run the following command:

./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6111-pkg1.run --uninstall

and that should remove the NVIDIA driver from your system
